He's immune to HoJ, and he fears, but not very often. One Divine Shield used, no BoP, no LoH, two combat mana potions and one bandage (inside the bubble). You don't need to heal often so I combined it with trinkets and Divine Illumination to keep mana usage down. I just kept devo up and turned on conc when I needed a big heal. His fire breath hit me for 2.2-2.5k so I ignore the fire aura, his melee was slightly under 1k each with devo aura up. Holy paladin, 41/20/0, spelldamage gear (near +1k dmg/heal). However, I’m a Beastmaster, and SV or MM hunters may take closer to 20, unless you’ve got the mana regen for max rank Arcanes or don't mind potting. For me, the whole kite takes 15 minutes start to finish. Hemathion drops a level 68 random blue BOE chest. You can start using Auto Shots at this point, but do not get overconfident. At this point, stop going between the hill and the edge, and just stay south of the hill. # At about 10-15%, Hemathion will slow down significantly. # If at any time you get aggro from a scorp or giant, drop a Freeze Trap and keep moving. In the beginning, you may wish to fire a couple Distracting shots just to ensure that your pet doesn’t get aggro. Your pet is going to do a lot of your damage, and it's going to be a long kite if he dies. You may occasionally wish to force a despawn with Stay in order to reset your pet’s aggro. # Periodically, your pet will be feared and despawn. If you're a Beastmaster, you might as well use big red whenever it's up. You absolutely need a Dive/Dash pet here. Make sure Growl is off and sic him on the dragon. # After Hemathion is down a couple percent, bring your pet out. Fire Arcane whenever it’s up, and reapply Serpent whenever it drops. # Kite with Rank 1 Arcane and max rank Serpent Sting. Hemathion will get a little close for comfort, but you should be okay. You have to be extremely alert for him, and if he’s there, you’re going to have to make a tight turn and pass south of the hill instead. HOWEVER, there is a giant that sometimes walks through the pass. Normally, you want to hug the west side of the hill. There is a small hill and a couple of scorpions near the west edge. # The really only tricky part of the kite comes at about 9 o’clock on your oval. It is best to run clockwise because it gives you a cleaner approach to the trickiest part. # Your kite path is going to be a rough oval north of the Fel Cannons at the southern Forge Camp. If he spawns on the north side, wait for him to path east and kite him down the extreme east edge of the plateau. # Hemathion spawns either at the north end of the plateau or the south end of the plateau. You're looking for 30MP5 at least, preferably 40. It shouldn’t cost you more than 10-15g, which is less than the cost of a stack of pots. # Before you start, go to the AH and buy 3-4 pieces of mana regen greens. Now that I have my mount, I’m not going to farm him any more, so I figured I’d share my secrets. By himself, he’s not that hard of a kite, but since you’re playing Dodge’em with scorpions roughly the size of General Drakk, it really raises the difficulty.
